Downtown Shepherdstown, WV as seen on the evening of Maundy Thursday. The sun is going down and casting a glow throught the golden blush of new leaves in the background. Beyond the pink cherry blossom stands the iconic Oddfellows' Hall, currently the home of Shepherdstown Library. Historic brick, and painted brick houses lead the eye to the bell tower of the Presbyterian Church. The floorboards of the sanctuary still bear the stains of the life blood of casualties from the Battle of Antietam, fought in 1862 just across the Potomac, in Sharpsburg.

Thanks Lianne. I had my camera set up on my tripod on Maundy Thursday evening, intending to capture the stained glass window of a local church lit from within. I never got the shot that I wanted, as the church lights went out before it was dark enough, but was rewarded by this lovely view of the town center to my left!
