This painterly image is a digitally enhanced photograph of Panama City taken from the top of Ancon Hill. The tropical vegetation provides a natural frame for the architecture of the city and its bay, which nestles, dream-like, in the embrace of an arching palm frond. The sun glances off the rooftops in the foreground as an afternoon storm brews over the skyscrapers, lending an eerie glow to the vista.
This photograph was post-processed using Topaz Clarity, to enhance the contrast, and Simplicity 4 to give it a Buz Sim painterly effect. Texture layers have been added, courtesy of Kim Klassen and Joel Olives, to achieve the end result.
